Offering primarily pre-1820 American Silver Holloware.
A few words regarding condition; As a precious metal, articles of silver, have largely been treated with great care by owners over the generations. Even though a form may have gone out-of-style, items of Silver were still highly prized, and valuable. As a result, with only a handful of exceptions, the items being offered are in Good ( having only normal & expected wear) condition, or, in many instances, are in 'As New' condition.I only have listed (3) items which were treated carelessly, and even these could be 'restored' by a competent craftsman. Regards weights of items, I have used the terms 'Good Weight' meaning, that for that form, the weight of the item is typical. 'Generous Weight' describes items which are heavier than is to be expected. 'Modest Weight' describes items which are lighter in weight than typical examples of the form.
All dimensions are the greatest measurement of height & width.
Silver being abit difficult for me to photograph, I don't show alot of images of a given item, as I get this site underway. Of course, I will be pleased to add more pictures at your request.
